Joseph Turner Gets Recognized by His peers |
Joseph Turner was awarded rookie of the week for week 3 against the browns this week. Joseph was selected this week as a no doubt award getting over 50 percent of the votes. His stats this week where 17 carries for 106 yards. “Joseph wasn’t even expected to play a big role on this team when we first drafted him in the 7th round last year. He just practiced hard and got a full understanding of this offense quickly. I thought that we needed a big back in are starting lineup to get this offense rolling and that’s exactly what happened this week. Joseph is going to start for this team for the near future. If he continues to play well we will explore trade options for Jamal Charles and Leon Washington in the off-season.
IF he continues to play could these guys be on there way out

Cheifs Win a OT Thriller |
Chiefs won a game this week in dramatic fashion against the browns. They won the game in overtime. The final score was 27-24. Here is a list of stars of the game.
Offence- Reggie Bush
Reggie goes on this list again. For the 3rd straight time this season. This time he is on the list for the offensive game ball, not his normal special team award. He had a great game receiving. This is what got him the award. He had only 3 catches for 105 yards and 2 touchdowns. Also to pad his stats he had his 3rd kick return for a td this year when he took the kickoff 99 yards for the touchdown.” This is the type of game changer we knew Reggie would be that’s why we knew we had to get him when he was on the block. We Hope he can continue this type of play throughout the year.
Defensive- Pisa Tinoisamoa
Pisa was all over the field this week. He was a force on the defensive side of the ball. He registered 8 tackles but had 3 for a loss.” We like Pisa play so far this year. He has given us good linebacker play and has been a good influence on the younger guys on the defense. We hope he can continue to give the youngsters some tips how to play the game.
Special Teams- Dustin Collquitt
This doesn’t happen a lot that a punter makes this list but this week Dustin was sensational. He had a total of 9 punts but hit a remarkable 4 of those 9 inside the 20 yard line with a 47 yard average. “Dustin had a great game for a punter. Field position is a big part of this game and Dustin didn’t give the browns good field possession all night long. We hope he can continue this play.”
THis is all i got for this week we have a really tough game this week against the eagles. Not goin to lie to you guys but this could very well be the first game that we loose this season. Well i gtg gameplan and hit the books. |

Chiefs Sign Former LSU Lineman |
After the trade with the lions last week the chiefs where left with a roster spot that they had to fill. They reached an agreement within hours of contacting the player’s agent. The player the chiefs signed was RG Lyle Hitt
General Manager had this to say about Lyle.” I always loved Lyle while he was playing in college. He was a monster on the offensive line for LSU. He gives us good strength and decent acceleration which we love in are offensive linemen. He needs work in his pass blocking but we think that in time he will improve that. If not he is a decent backup lineman in this league
Some other reasons we like him(other general managers dont know about him)
1. Does a pretty good impression of Elmo
2. Sometimes has to listen to classical music, orchestras, opera music or Josh Groban-type tracks to relax before a game.
3.Known for his corny jokes like: Two antennas met on a roof, fell in love and got married. The ceremony wasn’t much, but the reception was great. |

Chiefs Beat the Chargers Go to 2-0 |
The Chiefs knew coming into this week’s game with the chargers that it would be a tough grind it out game. This game did live up to that expectation. The chiefs won the game 16-13. This game ended in controversy though. The Chargers where driving at the chiefs 40 with 20 seconds left when the chargers completed the pass in bounds with 13 seconds left and no time outs. The chargers got up t the line to stop the clock but the quarterback forgot to spike the ball leaving the chargers on the losing end of the game. “I hate to see us win a game like this but a win is a win. That for sure was a tough one to loose. Im sure Nick will have his team ready on the field the next time we face them. “
Here are the starts of the game.
Offence- Brian Waters
Brian was the best offensive player this week. This game was not pretty for either team on the offensive side of the ball. Brian held down the left side of the offensive line and gave plenty of time for Joe in the pocket. He finished the game with 6 pack cakes and no sacks. “This is great job by Brian. We hope that he can continue this type of play throughout the year”
Defensive- Bob Sanders
Bob had a great game for the chiefs in a game where the defense needed to step up. He had 6 tackles in the game. The stat that made him win this award was he picked off Tom Brady when the team needed it the most.” Bob has been a great leader for this team on and off the field. He has been brought in to Tudor the youngsters in the secondary. We didn’t expect him to play like this when we traded for him.
Special Teams- Reggie Bush
Reggie took it to the house again this week. He shook off 5 tackles on a kickoff and took it 98 yards for a touchdown. “Reggie has been a complete playmaker on special teams so far this year. He has taken 2 kickoffs for touchdowns this season. When we traded for him we expected him to be a playmaker, but we didn’t expect him to return 2 kickoffs for touchdowns not to mention in back to back weeks.
Injuries
Fred Bennett- Fred got hurt midway in the 2nd half during this game. The injury appeared to be one where he will miss some games. After the game it was revealed that he will miss at least 2 weeks with a Bruised shoulder. “We have depth at the cornerback position, we hate to loose Fred for that long but we feel that we have depth that it shouldn’t hurt us that much for those two weeks.”
That was both a tough mentally and physical game for are club. Since we beat a division rival we are giving the team 2 days off. We return to practice on Wednesday to prepare for a browns team. |

Chiefs Make A Deal with Lions |
The Chiefs struck a quick deal with the lions this past week. The deal breaks down as follows
Cheifs Send
OG Stacy Andrews
Lions Send
3rd Round Draft Pick
General Manager had this to say after the trade.” I made this deal stricky on the fact of Salary cap. Stacy wouldn’t have seen the field with this club and we could use the cap space in the offseason to add more talent on this club. While in return we get what would figure to be a good third round selection in next years draft. We wish stacy luck with his future team..”
