Colts week 1 "What a differance a Manning Makes" |
Payton did not take long to show everyone what had stopped the Colts retaining their divisional title last year, he set the sky alight with 446 yards, 4 TD's and zero sacks although he threw two picks neither were in redzones or at crucial times and lead to no Bills scores the difference a savvy QB makes. There were also great performance on offence from:
WR Pierre Garcon 9 Rec, 3TD's and 134 YAC after the game Pierre said you run the route put you hands up and the ball is there.
C Rodger Safford starting his first ever game beat up on the Bills DT's with 7 pancake's "with the other 4 guys on the line and Howard's coaching the transition to centre has been made so much easier and thanks to coach for identify that I could play there.
TE Dallas Clark 7 pancakes and 4 rec showed that experience over youth still wins the day.
With the Bills playing Catch up the defence harassed QB Canfield all day giving him zero time and putting a blanket over his receivers as he completed 9 of 33 for a QB rating of 31.8. |

Colts Day 1 |
Going into the 2020 draft the Colts needed to get 3 players who were of a quality that could start from week 1 so far so good,
we feel we have two players who were the top players at their position from this draft class.
1.19 SS Darian Stewart
Has good combo of speed, strength and awareness, with one of the fastest first steps has the ability to make up ground quick,
and once he gets there has the best tackle techniques in this years draft, will be a great asset in the run stop game.
2.19 FB DeMaundray Woolridge
Speed, Power and technique no FB in AAO never mind the draft can match him
but the big question is can he play a 16 week season with so much upside we feel we had to take the chance. |
