A Hollow Win |
Many would argue that sitting 1-5 we would be happy with a win and to some degree we are.........but....... apart from some big plays in the last quarter we were never really in the hunt against the unlucky Cardinals.
Sam Bradford showed some fight throwing 3 TDs but also came up with 3 INTs and will most likely retain his starting spot for this weeks game against the Titans.
Our best player so far this season has to be DE Jared Odrick, who has 7 sacks on the season so far.
Over the coming weeks we will see just what backbone our Jags outfit has, if we continue to lose it maybe time to try some untapped talent on our roster to see what we have warming the bench. |

Bradford to be Benched ???? |
Rumours are abound that the Jags coaching staff are considering pulling former 1.2 pick Sam Bradford from the starting lineup and inserting another young QB Zac Robinson.
Even though Bradford missed most of last season, it was hoped Bradford would not be too far behind in his progression.
After some big moves last season, it appeared the Jags were heading in the right direction, under veteran journeyman Sage Rosenfels performed admirably and was rather surprisingly let go in free agency.
Jags fans will know closer to game time just who their starting QB will be. |

Finally |
Well there is not much to like about the Jags this season.
Bradford is slightly better than last season and has managed to stay up right for 2 more weeks than last season, our offense though is struggling and fans are starting to wonder why Sage Rosenfels was not retained.
Wideout Brandon Marshall has also struggled and not been the high impact player we hoped he would be for us.
Our young defense is struggling and that is partly due to the large amount of time they are stuck on the field due to a poor offense.
The players need to turn this around fast or the season is well and truly gone. |

Jags Draft PC |
Depth, depth and depth is the best way to describe this years Jacksonville draft.
After a massive wave of excitement last season with the securing of picks 1.1 and 1.2 the Jaguars set about adding depth and talent to their roster this draft.
2.16 RG Calvin Wilson - weighing in at 360lbs, if he fails at OG he could be moved to NT. Massive unit who should win a starting job.
3.16 QB Zac Robinson - after the season ending injury to Sam Bradford in week 3 last season the coaching staff decided to bring on board another highly touted rookie to backup and compete for the starting role.
5.9 MLB Jon Dempsey - Intriging prospect who will sit behind Justin Durant, but looks to have the ability to eventually start.
5.10 FB Andrew Hawken - his drafting could see the days of veteran Greg Jones numbered in Jacksonville. Bullocking type FB who could be dangerous near the goal line.
5.16 Jonathan Amaya - scouting staff were ecstatic to see Amaya drop to this spot. Although we already have quality depth at both safety positions he was too good to pass up, especially after a tip off from Ravens GM Markakis
5.17 CB David Pender - a project player who will be given a number of seasons to learn his craft.
6.16 FS Josh Pinkard - Similar to Amaya, too good to pass up on, the Jags currently have more safeties than CBs on their roster.
7.17 OG Ryan Hebert - late raound pick who wont see any playing time for at least two seasons. |

Jags Busy Dealing |
The Jacksonville Jaguars have been hard at work with a number of trades agreed to in the last 48 hours.
The biggest trade sees former Charger Braylon Edwards come to Jacksonville for 1st and 2nd round draft picks in this years draft.
Braylon Edwards, along with Dez Bryant, Carlton Mitchell and tight end Shawn Nelson should give Sam Bradford the weapons he requires to move the ball down field.
With GM Richmond wanting to at least have one pick in the first two rounds, wideout Mike Sims Walker was traded to the Bills for ironically the Jags 2nd round pick which initially went to the Bills in the trade for TE Shawn Nelson.
In further trade news veteran offensive guard Maurice Williams has been traded to the Chiefs for a 5th round draft pick. |
