Packers Announce New GM |
The Green Bay Packers introduced their new GM this morning, Brady Tinnin.
Mr. Tinnin was presented with a Q/A immediately after being introduced...
What are your first thoughts on the team ?
"I think they are a very talented team, and I can't really call anybody out, since I havn't even seen a practice yet."
What are your thoughts on this last draft?
"Looking on who was taken... I would have went a completely different route, it seems the previous GM took the typical "popular" positions, that were unneeded for this team, WR, TE, and HB, we need offensive line help, not the fancy positions, they can't be good, if the Quarterback can't get time to drop back, or a RB get the blocks he needs..."
What are your goals for this season ?
" Well, I think playoffs aren't even in reach this year. This team just isn't where it was 2 years ago. The most recent GM got us stuck in this situation for the next 2 seasons, Cap hit, and a mix and match of 3-4 and 4-3 players on defense.. We're shooting at a .500 season, and to have an outlook on next season cap wise." |

Packers Draft |
1.25 CB Brian Jackson Oklahoma
Packers knew with Harris gone they needed a Corner. Jackson had some
question about him but with a pro workout with the Packers they knew he
was their guy which led them to picking him 1.25.
2.25 WR Arrelious Benn Illinois
With Driver retiring the Packers decided they wanted to bring in a fresh
new WR at 2.25. So they invited him to a private workout and loved what
they saw. Benn will prolly find himself at the slot in his rookie season but
will move up quickly.
3.25 LT Selvish Capers West Virginia
With no one at LT we needed someone to fill the hole. Capers is exactly
what GM Kyle Adams likes in a Tackle, size strength and off the ball
ability. Capers will find himself on the starting role game one.
4.4 RT Adam Ulatoski Texas
Adam like Capers is a steal in our opinion. Capers out of the gate has the
starting role but Adam can easily edge him out being more agile. Only
time will tell on these two but one will be starting and one will be watching. |
