Rams waiting for the champs to come |
In a big week 7 encounter for the young Rams team against the undefeated Bears much is at stake...
The Rams first look to maintain position in the battle against the emerging 49ers in the NFC West...
On the other hand they look to get the revanche against the mighty Bears for last seasons playoff loss in the windy city..
So this time at home in the dome they are looking to get the big important W...
Some chances on the gameplan are considered like going in this game with a 4-3 D instead of the regular 3-4 base since team leader Laurinaitis is injured several weeks now..
Also is considered to go with a more conservative attack against this opportunistic Bears D to try to avoid many ints...
Lets see what the game of the week has to offer 2nite...

Good Rams Start |
After the first game of my season i want to give a update who started hot and who cold...
HOT:
1. Pass Defense played very solid against Texans potent passing game
2. Steven Jackson has first 100 yard game and WR Floyd in his first game as Ram a 100 yard receiving game
3. Young WRs convincing with Bulger already in midseaon form
4. Solid kicking and punting albeit my kicker missed his first kick this season already
5. TE Rookie Dedrick Epps stepped in nicely after ALL Pro TE Gates left with an injury
COLD:
2. Run Defense on giving up long gainers
3. My Offense sustaining drives on 3 down conversions
4. Playcalling should be better
5. My pass rush has to be on time more
In summary we started good with solid D against Texans QB Claussen and managed to get big passing plays from 4 different Rams players for 4 TDs..
Big game ahead against divisional rival Seahawks

Rams Draft 2010 |
î had the real needs for a TE, QB, and a CB as backup starters..Also a backup OLB was a goal...So my picks were:
2.24: TE Dedrick Epps - Miami 6-4 256
Analysis : Will backup Antonio Gates
2.25 HB Keiih Toston - Oklohama State 6-0 213
Analysis: All around HB who will back up SJ..Luxury pick since i have already a viable backup Hb in Jonathan Dwyer.
4.16 CB Stephan Virgil - Virginia Tech 5-11 187
Analysis: Steps in as my dime back...Had him rated one of the top 5 CBs
Rounds 6th and 7th gone for OLB Jason Beauchamp, WR Chris Bell, and OGs Matt McCraken and Vladimir Richard..
They will all make the team and contribute hopefully..
My goal to draft a backup QB failed this time and we have to look for a UFA QB now... |

Rams Draft |
î had the real needs for a WLB and a CB as clear cut starters..Also a backup QB to Bulger and a backup HB was a goal...So my picks were:
1.15: WLB Sean Weatherspoon - Missouri (HT: 6'1¼ - WT: 239 - 4.6 ..
Analysis :Local Missouri speed product who steps in immediately at the weakside..
2.15 CB Earl Thomas - Texas (HT: 5-10¼ - WT: 208 - 40: 4.49)
Analysis: Cover Corner who steps in also immediately at CB #2 besides Bartell...
2.31 QB Tim Tebow - Florida (HT: 6-2¾ - WT: 236 - 40: 4.72)
Taking a risk as scrambling QB, this was a sexy pick 4 the Rams fans to be excited in the motivator Tebow...
4.15 HB Jonathan Dwyer - Georgia Tech (HT: 5-11¼ - WT: 229 - 40: 4.59)
Backup strong HB. Going to learn from #SJ39..So watch out in 2 years or so....
6.15 DE Jason Pierre-Paul - South Florida (HT: 6-4¾ - WT: 270 - 40: 4.69)
Speed DE who fall to the 6 round..He will learn from the Rams star DE Little who he will replace next season,,,,
6.31 SS Reshad Jones - Georgia (HT: 6-1¼ - WT: 214 - 40: 4.56)
BAckup strong safety who will play special teams....
